Grappling Tournaments to The 2011 Bodybuilding.com Los
Angeles Fitness Expo
January 29 -30, 2011
Los Angeles Convention Center
Los Angeles, California

The Gracie US Nationals and The Gracie Kids World
Championships, the most anticipated competitions in
grappling and jiu-jitsu, return to California's
largest fitness event, The
Bodybuilding.com Los Angeles Fitness Expo
presented by Subway Restaurants,
Saturday and Sunday, January 29-30, 2011 at the Los
Angeles Convention Center, 1201 South Figueroa Street,
West Halls A/B.
"With each year reaching a new pinnacle, we're excited
to welcome more competitors in 2011 than ever before"
said Gracie Tournaments President Rose Gracie. The
world class competitions join The
Bodybuilding.com Los Angeles Fitness Expo
for the fourth time and will host over 1,000
competitors, ranging from 5 to over 50 years old.
2011 marks the fourth year of the partnership between
Rose Gracie and her Gracie Tournaments and The Los
Angeles Fitness Expo. The success of the Gracie
Tournaments and the hundreds of competitors on hand as
well as all their friends and family members there to
cheer them on, has made The Los Angeles Fitness Expo a
prime destination for fans of jiu-jitsu. Rose launched
The Gracie Kids World Championship in 2009 for
children 5 to 17. The new competition was a smash hit
and will be returning for a third year in 2011.
Rose Gracie stated, "Being around jiu-jitsu my entire
life, I have always been fascinated by the benefits
that come from the everyday training. Our continued
association with the Los Angeles Fitness Expo and
their 25,000 attendees has helped make the Gracie US
Nationals one of the premier tournaments for
competitors and major sponsors. Creating a welcoming
environment where practitioners from hundreds of
different schools can test their skills is an
inspirational experience to be part of. Especially
this year that we are paying homage to none other then
my cousin Renzo for his extraordinary accomplishments
and leadership in this sport and family. "
Erin Ferries, Executive Director of The Expo, added,
"The Gracie Family name is "it" in martial arts and we
are very proud of our relationship with someone like
Rose Gracie for her hard work and dedication. Our
mutual goal is all about making sure the competitors
have a safe and great time during the weekend and that
family and friends will enjoy the expo as a whole. In
2011 Rose will have more room than ever before, in
fact over 50,000 square feet is now set aside for both
Gracie events. We will also be expanding the list of
exhibitors that wanted to be placed near the
tournament for easy access to the attendees and
athletes."

Gracie Kids World Championships. For More information
